SOLUTIONS FOR A NAGGING COUGH

Nagging CoughOnce the pathogens that are causing a cold start spreading to the bronchial mucosa, bronchitis will develop. Symptoms include an irritated cough, scratchy throat and increased mucous formation, initially with glassy, mucous secretions which may turn yellow-greenish during the course of the illness.
The purpose of coughing is to expel (bring up) secretions from the lungs.

Cough is a protective reflex triggered to expel foreign particles, dust particles or sticky phlegm from the respiratory passages. See a doctor if coughing persists for more than a week or is associated with fever.
